To maintain the beauty of the weave, the brilliance of the colours, and to avoid the destructive power of acarids, we recommend a deep professional cleaning every 3–5 years. One phone call is all it takes — we will come to collect your carpets.

Dirt is responsible for much more wear and tear than usage. There are two types of dirt that cause this kind of damage:

• Dust and sand: These get deep into the roots of the knots and grind against the weave when walked upon.

• Greasy particulates: These are picked up by shoes and transferred to the carpet pile, making it lose suppleness and become stiff.

Regular cleaning prevents these problems. Your carpet should be cared for as follows:
• Gently hoover once a week to extract dust.
• Flip the carpet once a year and leave it upside down for 2–3 days. This helps dust and sand that the vacuum couldn’t reach to fall out.
• Entrust the carpet to an Oriental carpet specialist every 3–5 years (depending on placement) for traditional cleaning.
